北大纽约校友会举办2010新年晚会
十二月十六日晚，北京大学大纽约地区校友会(PKUAAGNY)在位于曼哈顿中城的御宴轩举行了圣诞新年晚会。愈百名北大校友及朋友参加了这场充满热情、温馨感人的晚会。
临近年底的这次校友聚会内容十分丰富。物理系校友、君德基金合伙人王光宇首先向大家介绍了自己在中美两国创业的经历和感受；摩根史坦利公司的汤漪校友回顾了过去一年里衍生品市场的发展和经验教训；校友会董事长邓琨谈了他对金融危机一年多来市场形势的看法；晚会嘉宾，中国国际金融有限公司纽约销售主管郭大江对中金公司的业务及招聘情况作了阐述；一月份将赴香港就任美林法律主管的校友翟津披露了自己“海归”的心路历程；博实基金总裁助理桂权校友介绍了国内基金业的现状。
今年晚会的最大特色是安排了高品味的娱兴节目。前会长石新平携专业歌手 Elizabeth Hillebrand、陈红晓为大家演唱了经典歌剧及百老汇歌舞剧中脍炙人口的插曲；光华管理学院毕业的潘晓校友的钢琴演奏赢得了阵阵掌声；现场组织的校友合唱“让我们荡起双桨”、“童年”等把与会者带回了遥远的少年时代。
纽约校友会趁这次聚会隆重宣布了由北京大学校友会颁发的几个重要奖项，其中包括摩根史坦利公司的汤漪校友与中软国际的吴刚校友荣获的“杰出校友奖”，纽约校友会创始理事长姚学吾学长荣获的“优秀校友工作者奖”及纽约校友会副会长陈愉生荣获的“校友贡献奖”。另外，邓琨董事长还代表北大向楼新跃会长颁发了第七届北京大学校友会理事会理事证书。杰出校友汤漪还向校友会赠送了一册他与朋友合著的金融学新书，由楼新跃会长代表接收。
参加晚会的嘉宾还有中国驻联合国科技参赞陈明，中国驻纽约总领馆教育领事李婷婷以及中国人才交流协会驻纽约韦大玮总代表。晚会还有抽奖活动。中国驻纽约总领馆及大东山珠宝公司吕明鉴董事长都提供了精美的奖品。
晚会的气氛自始至终都十分热烈。副会长赵睿作为晚会的主要组织者为晚会的成功举办付出很多时间和精力。艾诚的主持，周静组织的抽奖都为晚会增色不少。本次晚会是今年校友会活动的一个很好的收尾，并和今年的其他活动一起，将校友会的活动提高到了一个新的水平。

PKUAANGY 2009 Christmas and New Year Party A Great Success
PKUAAGNY Christmas and New Year Party held at Song Dynasty in Manhattan midtown on December 16th. More than 100 Peking University alumni and friends participated in this joyful party.
The party had extensive schedules. Gary Wang, partner of Jade Capital and also alumni of PKU physics department, shared his entrepreneurial experiences in both U.S. and China. Kun Deng, chairman of board of directors, gave his insights into the capital markets since the financial crisis. His guest, Dajiang Guo, head of sales and trading of CICC New York, talked about CICC’s New York business development and recruiting needs. Jin Zhai, who is going to be the head of legal department of BofA Merrill Lynch in Hong Kong next January, shared how she made the decisions of going back to work in China. Quan Gui, president assistant of Bosera fund management company, talked about the asset management industry in China.
A key feature for this year’s party is the rich entertainment. Former president Xinping Shi invited professional singers Elizabeth Hillebrand, and Hongxiao Chen to perform the songs of classical operas, Broadway shows and Chinese folk songs. Xiao Pan as the pianist won applauds from the audiences. The chorus of old songs by present alumni brought wonderful childhood memories to the participants.
During this party, PKUAAGNY announced several important awards by PKU alumni association. Excellent Alumni Awards went to Yi Tang of Morgan Stanley and Gang Wu of China Soft International; Excellent Alumni Work Award went to Xuewu Yao, founding chairman of the association, and Alumni Contribution Award went to Yusheng Chen, Vice-president of PKUAAGNY. Kun Deng awarded the certificate of member of PKU alumni board of directors to president Xinyue Lou on behalf of the Peking University. Yi Tang gave his newly-published financial book to PKU alumni association as gift, received by president Xinyue Lou.
The present guests included Ming Chen, Science Counselor with the Permanent Mission of the People’s Republic of China to the United Nations, Tingting Li, Education Consul with the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in New York, and Dawei Wei, Chief Representative for China Association for International Exchange of Personnel in New York. For the lottery section, The Consulate General in New York and Johnny Lu, Chairman of of Lucoral Inc, provided the gifts.
The party went on in a warm environment. Rui Zhao, vice president of PKUAAGNY, contributed a lot of time and energy to the organization of this party. The host Cheng Ai and Jing Zhou also made great contributions to the party. This party is a good end to the year 2009, and together with other events this year, indicated a higher level of PKUAAGNY events.
