- Xi Chuan, one the most famous poets at Beida during the 80's and one of the most influential poets in contemporary China, will be giving a talk on "Senses of Reality" sponsored by NYU's China House. We encourage our alumni and friends to attend.

西川: 诗人，散文家和翻译家。1981年至1985年北京大学英美语言文学系本科，现任中央美术学院人文学院教授。出版多部诗集并获奖无数。其部分作品已被翻译成英、法、荷、西、意、日等国语言。

Xi Chuan: PKU 81-85, poet, essayist, translator and professor in classical Chinese literature at Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing. Xi Chuan has published several poetry collections and won numerous awards. His work has been translated into English, French, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Japanese and so on.
